Review: Hamatora the Animation

[Spoiler Alert!!]

Hamatora is a small agency without office, where its members frequently hangs out at Nowhere Cafe. Hamatora is divided into a few groups with its assigned partners. The thing is, this anime has a world where people had powers called "Minimum" that can only be triggered by a certain thing or action.

Even the naming is quite.. I don't know, eccentric maybe? Nah.. some people name their Black cat, "Blackie" or "Kuro" (it means Black in Japanese). Not that I do....

Okay, I did.. but only once or probably twice. I don't know! (I never count)

Nice

Nice here, I never actually got to know his full name. The only time I did was when he disguises himself as a student in Highschool and he named himself "Nice Satou".

Recorded as the Highest scorer, graduated under Facultas Academy (his data were top secret, classified)
Ability:

Sonic Minimum (Anime)/ Cannonball (Manga)
Ego Minimum

Sonic Minimum.

An ability to travel through sounds. Activated when he puts on his headphones (so he could see the sound waves) and snaps his finger to travel through which ever sound path he chooses.

As I watched though the anime, I somehow get the feeling that Nice doesn't really posseses just "One" minimum. A few years back, when Nice and the other Hamatora groupies were still in Facultas Academy, there's actually been an experiment trying to develope the "Ego Minimum" which is a minimum that can make trigger the "Minimum" power in another person. Correct me if I'm wrong, when Nice was still in Facultas Academy he befriended two siblings named Art and Skill.

Nice's ability was never been brought up, so I kind of assume that it Art and Skill know he has a "Minimum" but maybe even they didn't know what it was. Art was..forever "I probably doesn't have any minimum, I'm depressed but for the sake of my brother I'll keep it in".

While, Skill will always encourages his brother with his ambitious dream that somehow one day their ability will rise to the surface.

And..It happened..

Skill's "Minimum" finally showed itself leaving his only brother forever alone.

Minimum: Ego Minimum

He can give birth to a new "Minimum" or giver a person's ego's back (in this case, its "Minimum")

Status: Deceased (12 years old)

Art is now the Superintendent of the Yokohama Police Department

Triggers when a fatal injury were directed toward the heart, all organ.. as the name says, regenerate.

Starts to steal other people's "Minimum" for the sake of "world peace"

Everything in this world has its two faces. By that, I meant the situation. When Nice was a child, I don't know.. maybe he got bored and stuff so he starts to explore the realms of the laboratory. There he found a nameless girl and named her Hajime (meaning number one in Japanese) after having a few conversation and food bribery known as Burger (Nah..its because the poor girl..er, "Hajime" was hungry). She explain of having numerous experiments done to her daily that it pains to live in that way.

Since Hajime never had an outside food before, Nice promises her that he will take her to see the outside world. And so, Hajime favorite food was forever will be Hamburger.

As you can see from the picture above, Nice has succesfully taken Hajime out of her "hiding" place by.. creating chaos and enclosed security alarm all over the place. They were supposed to successfully get out of there, but Nice was shot and drop dead while Hajime was climbing the wall. She could just go on, since that was Nice's last wish. But nooo, she turn her back and screamed in horror after seeing Nice's bloody body.. and who knew, all this time of torturing and mental breakdown didn't effect anything to Hajime. Her ability needed to be triggered with Despair.

Wait..wait.. so Nice died more than once? Yup. He diffinitely owns more than just one "Minimum".

Wait for it.. yes my suspicion were right, more or less. Nice was revived using..

Meanwhile.. on the other side of the coin,

The chaos Nice caused others were taken as an opportunity to Art who was somehow accidently finds a room where his little bother, Skill resides (He was actually looking for a way to manifest his "Minimum")

Skill begs Art to kill him because he cannot bear to make more "sin" (trying to turn ordinary human to manifest minimum which was a very rare case and most ended up being monster)
Art took a broken shard near him and ended Skill's life.

But Art's action only triggered Skill's "Ego Minimum" and gives Art his ability of "Regeneration Minimum". Skill's heart were give to Nice by Moral who had an obsession of wanting to save Nice from the isolation of being superior and no one to be equal to.
